Worth a visit, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nestled amidst picturesque grounds, the establishment offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff’s exceptional friendliness and helpfulness made our experience truly memorable. Our room, designated as 22, was exceptionally comfortable. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a basket of fresh fruits, chocolates, and crisps awaiting us on the table. The refrigerator conveniently stocked a selection of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The room was equipped with a coffee machine, a kettle, and an array of teas, hot chocolate, and coffee, allowing guests to prepare their own beverages. The spa facilities were available for hotel guests at no additional cost, offering a swimming pool, jacuzzi, two saunas, two steam rooms, and an ice room. The breakfast buffet offered an extensive variety of delectable food and beverages, ensuring a satisfying start to each day. The ala carte restaurant also served well-presented and delicious dishes, providing a fine dining experience. We highly recommend this establishment and plan to return in the future.

The room was spacious and on the ground floor, we thought the grounds were very attractive, the staff were pleasant and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay and as we have friends locally I am sure we will book again. One small niggle. We had two medium size bags to bring inside because we were going on for a 10 day holiday and we found it a long walk from the car park to the stable block plus steps to negotiate. We are senior citizens and in common with many guests in our age group we would have appreciated either being able to park closer, as there were closer parking spaces occupied by workmen's vans, or some help, even an airport style trolley. We are very independent and its a relatively small niggle but some people our age would have struggled.

breakfast is done by Marta who is excellent in the running and choice of breakfasts items. Evening Dinner was also great, food was really tasty and to high standards. Sam who was in the oak room restaurant is knowledgeable on wines as we asked for help and the recommended wine choice was fantastic, great service too. Tom on reception is an asset to the hotel as you get a very warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Elena Fenton ( operations Manager ) is truly an asset to the company and gives a warm welcome and takes time to engage with you when you stay. All of the above is why we have been going back for the last 3 years.....

We had very spacious, wonderfully quiet and peaceful room in the annex overlooking the lake and gardens. A perfect place to relax! It was a short walk into the main building for breakfast and to use the spa area. The breakfast room was well staffed and there was a good variety of delicious hot and cold foods. All staff we spoke to were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect to enjoy the lovely town of Shrewsbury

Angela

Very beautiful location, lovely rustic decor, staff were very friendly. We had a Superior room with sofa bed which was very large and not far from the entrance. Spa was ok, there is 3 different types of Saunas, a Steam Room and an ice room which were lovely. Food and drink in the bar was really nice and not too expensive. Breakfast in the morning was also really nice! (Book the night before as it is about £6 cheaper).
